During a time when a farm needed a name, the Beattie family farm was affectionately titled, Corner Meadows. When you walk into Ashlee's grandmother's home, it is teaming with love and nostalgia spills out of every room. If only the walls could talk! Thankfully many family members were happy to share stories of the generations growing up at Corner Meadows. It was Ashlee's dream that their wedding take place at her family's farm. As she shared with me their story, I won't forget this quote, "I don't know if you've ever loved a land, but I love this land."

Ashlee and Randal didn't want to meet one another at the aisle or have a first look, they wanted to enjoy the whole day together. That meant getting ready together too. After Randal was all suited up, Ashlee walked in and whispered "he's so handsome". A few moments later as the busied on, he looked at her sitting on the bed, before her hair was done or her dress was on and said, "she's so beautiful". It was clear to me then that we were in for a great day. They are head over heels for one another! Of course the obligatory pre-game selfie was in order.

They were married in a small grove on the property where their family had planted trees through the years. Trees planted for special occasions and to remember key family members who have passed on. It was the perfect place to say their vows. Not a dry eye in the grove. I loved the addition of the "bird seed maiden" instead of a flower girl. Throwing seeds for the birds during the recessional!

All of the most important people gathered to celebrate after the ceremony; sharing stories, laughing and crying. It was truly an honour to witness such a tender union... a wedding that I won't forget anytime soon.

Congratulations Ashlee & Randal, wishing you a lifetime of new memories in your own home!

Natalie & Mitch's wedding was one of my favourites from last Fall. Who doesn't love a wedding that is full of elegance and sports a vintage VW bus, complete with all of the hippie embellishments? Natalie & Mitch were lucky to be one of the last couples to enjoy their wedding at the historic Hiram Walker Canadian Club Brand Centre. Although the Club is no longer hosting weddings, many couples throughout the years can adorn their homes with memories from the beautiful building.

After tying the not at the Canadian Club Brand Centre, we went to Malden Park for something a little different. Mitch's Dad's Vintage Volkswagen Bus was the perfect prop!

Congratulations you two! You are so fun and it was a pleasure spending your day with you.

I've been wanting to blog this wedding for some time now. It was the perfect finish to my 2017 wedding season because I LOVE authentic people and offbeat weddings. Brittney & Jared are just that, authentic and so perfectly adorable. They truly love one another and they're just real. You know what I mean? A little bit of an out of the box wedding but still with tons of class.

I love weddings in quirky locations, doing regular things. This wedding was held in the White Room at Water's Edge Event Centre. They somehow manage to make a basement look fabulous! Perfect for an offbeat wedding. Then we wandered around Walkerville for their photos, making everyday locations our targets.

Make sure to scroll all the way to the end for Brittney & Jared's Vendor list and link to their engagement session.

Their wedding was the perfect blend; they had every stylish detail covered and their two sons add the right amount of adorable to top it off.
